High Stakes Poker Ups Ante to Half Million

High Stakes Poker on GSN will have even higher stakes beginning on November 5th as the buy-in goes from $100,000 to $500,000.

High Stakes Poker is the only Texas Holdem cash game that is on TV and will have another great lineup of poker stars for Season 4 with each one starting with at least a half million in chips.

Doyle Brunson will return to the table for High Stakes Poker. He is probably the most recognizable person in poker and has won 10 World Series of Poker bracelets. Another player that is becoming popular on High Stakes Poker is Sammy Farha. He is constantly talking and makes the game enjoyable.

2006 WSOP winner Jamie Gold will be taking part this season as will the popular Daniel Negreanu. David Benyamine, Barry Greenstein, Antonio Esfandiari and Patrik Antonius also return. A new player for season four will be Guy Laliberte who is the CEO of Cirque du Soleil.

Gabe Kaplan and AJ Benza return to call the action on High Stakes Poker. The show can be seen on Monday nights at 9 PM with encore showings on Saturday nights at 7 PM and Wednesday nights at 2 AM. In other poker news, the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City will have a $1 Million dollar tournament this week with 10 players buying in for $100,000 each.

The Million Dollar No Limit Texas Holdem cash game is part of a four-day series of events sponsored by the Executive Poker Tour. Preliminary tournaments and satellites begin on October 24 with the main event beginning on Friday, October 26th.
